I have these! Love them. They''re Chanel, there''s a bow, rose, and the double C on the side. The inside is a very light pink which is my favorite color.

I stopped by my opticians shop on a whim yesterday ended up ordering a pair of MINIMA 3 rimless glasses with brushed silver hardware. I couldn't find a pic anywhere, but then... there's not much to see anyway.

You can get snap-on plastic earpiece covers that have a cut retro design, but at $50 per pair

I won't be indulging in a wardrobe of covers. They did offer the first pair at half price, so I got a pair in opaque black.

I'm so looking forward to having a truly lightweight pair of glasses! And to wearing more of my earrings -- I have a hard time pairing earrings with my metal frames, because it looks like I'm already wearing "face jewelry" when I look at myself in the mirror!

Irishgrrrl''s thread about her eye exam and plan to get contacts inspired me to start a thread about cute glasses. Recently at 33 I got my first pair of glasses. I found out after not having an eye exam for 10 years that I have become a bit nearsighted! My husband and best friend both wear glasses, but I was a bit nervous to get some. There are so many cute styles out there these days! I love my new glasses and have gotten a ton of compliments. Now I have my eye out for a second pair

Your are right Alistra, there are sooooooooo many cute styles. By the way I love your frames with the blingness you have going on, Very cute.
I just had my annual eye exam couple of weeks ago and it took me hours to find a frame (so many to choose from). I normally go with conservative colored frames (black, copper, tan, etc.) this time I decide to add some color. Overall, I guess Im happy with my purchase.

OK, I think I''m going to call my optometrist today and ask him what my prescription is, so that I can order a pair just like Shimmer''s! (Thanks, Shimmer!)

I''m still going to have him order my contacts, but the more I talk to you guys and some friends of mine who wear contacts, the more I''m convinced that I''ll need a back-up pair of glasses.

If I decide that I really like the glasses when they get here, I might even order a pair of prescription sunglasses with the same frames!

I got RX sunglasses too. My eye Dr. said it is really important to protect your eyes from UV. Plus they look good too!

Hello. My name is katamari and I have a serious glasses addiction!

So, I love this thread and so many of the awesome frames that have been posted!

Right now I have about 12 pair of frames I wear frequently and a few super funky pairs that get broken out for special occasions. I try to only buy 3 pair a year, but I get two pairs at a super discount each year with my insurance and our Costco optical sells so many awesome frames that you can get, with lenses, for about $150, so I just keep accumulating them. Since I never don''t own contacts and have a severe prescription, I am able to dully justify the addiction.

I couldn''t find online pics easy of all the pairs I am wearing right now, but here are some of my faves. Left column (top to bottom): Versace, Alexander McQueen, Miu Miu. Right column (top to bottom): Michael Kors, Lafont, Lafont. I really enjoy unique, bold frames.

ETA: You can't really see the color very well, but it's a dark eggplanty-purple with lime green inside.

Ladies, where are you getting the Coach glasses? Shimmer, I especially like yours! I might . . . MIGHT . . . need to get a back-up pair of glasses to wear on days when I don''t want to wear my contacts, and I think some of the Coach styles y''all have posted might look OK on me. I hate the way I look in glasses, but I LOVE all things Coach!

My eye doctor had them available in their display room. I think I paid around $100 for them. I *think* most places carry Coach?
