Cut is King but...

...how about the other factors such as polish and symmetry - is very good OK? I am currently looking at an excellent cut, excellent symmetry, but a very good polish on a 2.6 carat stone. Any words of advice is greatly appreciated.

We would need more info about the specific stone that you are considering. A GIA EX is a very wide range, some being better than others. I would consider a stone with VG polish and symmetry assuming that I could obtain additional information...
