After researching the perfect round diamond, I got the clue my g/f prefers princess cut. I was looking at the chart and under Polish/Symmetry it says "Not a primary determining factor". Does this mean that ratings of g/g to ex/ex won''t matter that much?. I''ve mostly been looking at diamonds from Union Diamond since I''m not too far from their place.

It is said good and above for polish and symmetry will look the same to the naked untrained eye, but those who value cut generally try to get at least very good and above.

Princess are incredibly difficult to judge by the numbers, so you need to ask UD if they can send you pics of the diamonds you are interested in, plus an ASET image if available. Also see if they can find you some AGS0 Princess as this could make finding a lovely diamond easier.

thank you
