Hi Everyone!
It's been awhile but our wedding is coming up later this year so we are looking at wedding bands.
With the style of my e-ring if I want to wear the rings together without a gap then the Tiffany Harmony with bead set diamonds appeared the way to go as the dimensions were a near perfect fit for my e-ring to be worn together and beautiful when worn alone without being too imposing on my tiny fingers.

The catch: 1) Tiffany pricing $2850 AUD for the platinum band AND 2) their smallest size is 4, my finger size is 3.25 so they best they can do is resize it to a 3.5 from a 4. This incurs an additional cost on top of the original price which is more than I can justify spending on my wedding band.

I have been to other jewellers in Melbourne and asked about their custom services, Charles Rose saleswoman was lovely, but when I gave her a suggestion of what wedding band style I was after (this was before realising what I had in mind was already at Tiffanys) she just said 'nope we don't have it' and did not seem interested in custom work at all. Neither did Keshett.
Can anyone recommend a jeweller who would be interested in making a similar design for less? I wouldn't mind making small alterations like a fine milgrain as well.

bump!
anyone able to help?

Hi Little Birdie, I used Mark T from Brilliantly Engaged to custom make both the engagement ring and wedding band and am very happy with the results. The WB is a bright cut full eternity with diamonds all around, you can look at the last page of my thread below to see details of the ER and how it turned out.

I'm from Melbourne myself so I probably went to all the same stores you did when I was initially inquiring about custom work, they were all either incapable, uninterested or way too expensive which led me to PS. I'm sooooo glad I ended up going with a US vendor.

I think you should send Mark Turnowski an email outlining exactly what you are looking for and hopefully he will be able to give you a decent quote. He will be able to make the ring in exactly the size/specs you need. I think it's also worth mentioning you are a PS member, I think there was some kind of discount or benefit.

If the price after conversion seems ok to you, just remember you will still need to pay 10% GST on the import. Since the item is being manufactured in the US you can avoid the extra 5% Duty that is normally applicable by taking advantage of the AUSFTA (Australian Free Trade Agreement). Another plus side is you don't have to pay the NY sales tax!

Good Luck!!
