The cad looks great -it will be beautiful, especially with the ACA at center stage. I like the width and height of the shank - it will feel substantial. And the lower profile will be very comfortable for everyday wear. Can't wait to see hand shots!
I think it looks very nice! Do you love it?
Thank you for this I’m terrible at knowing that the width and height of the shank looks good just by looking at the card or numbers (as I’m just bad at that) but I DO want it to be a substantial ring so I appreciate that. Would you change anything at all to make it “more” or is it enough as is?
Adding anything else is purely personal style and preference, the ring is certainly enough as is. But since you had the other "deco" option that you liked that had milgrain, you could add milgrain to the platinum bezel and leave the rose gold bezel smooth and sleek like the shank. I found the example below on a DK facebook post. it just depends on what your personal aesthetic is.

Omg love it
Should I do for all 3 or just center ?
I think so but to be honest I don’t know what I’m looking at by the numbers. I want it to be comfortable and a substantial piece.
I spent so much time getting that ACA and I’m trying to make lemonade out of the lemons (if you know what I mean)
Anything I should tweak?
I do know how much time you spent on the ACA journey. I am so glad that you are repurposing that diamond for your own enjoyment!
Would you want the milgrain on the platinum part of the bezel or the rose? I would probably do the platinum part.
Yes! On the platinum part and leave the rose smooth as it is. I asked him already. I think this is such a great idea and will add a tiny bit of the art deco look I like also
I can't wait to see the finished piece. DK is pretty fast so you shouldn't have to wait too long.
And when you figure out what style toi et moi you want, please let us know. That will be a fun project too.
Yes!!! I’m not sure I can swing the $ for both right now so not sure what I’m going to do on second one but I’m very excited
Shipping him my ring next week so I’ll keep everyone posted !
Well, you can certainly keep looking for your inspirations for the toi et moi and post them and we can all see what direction you want to take. Then have it in your pocket for when the time comes to have it made. It will help with the waiting of the first ring![]()
Well, that ring of mine, I call a "by pass" but I think it is also a toi et moi. If you google both terms many of the same rings will show up.
I do have a few photos from the internet saved. One has fairly small stones so may be more the size your stones would be in a ring. If you bezel yours, they'd look larger I think. Your melee is all one size, right? If you wanted a thicker band than the size of the melee, maybe you could double them up? Not sure how that would look but it's a thought.

Omg I love it! Would you mind sharing all the info ? Is there a thread on it?
It’s so pretty! I’m wondering if my pear (lab) is too small and maybe I should save for a larger lab round or another oval.
I have lots of time to get creative w the second one![]()
I love the rose gold 3 stone!!![]()
HI Guys
i was just looking online and I wonder if I should add my diamond melee from the ring to the rose gold bezel of the 3 stone.
I am trying to think of what to do with: diamond melee, oval and pear from original ring.
i am going to ask for a small Toi Et Moi ring to be made w/the oval and pear and then i just saw this idea and wondered if i should have my melee put around the center of the 3 stone in the rose gold part, so it would still be rose with plat dress.
what do you all think? Or should i leave it alone?

Do you still have your 2 ct lab?
No I don't, i returned it shortly after purchase - long story.
Now I wish I did still have it as I could use it and my old K (currently in a pendant) for the bypass ring. Maybe i'll save for this idea and do the bypass once i have the money, that 2ct lab was amazing and i should have kept it but I was influenced to not.
Did you happen to see my other question i posted on the 3 stone?
Dk said he can add the milgrain to the plat part of it for all 3 stones. which would be gorgeous and like this.
Now i am wondering should i leave it like that for all 3 OR should i have his use my melee for the center only and then do milgrain for sides? Or do milgrain only?
which do you think its prettier?
I am torn as i like both very much so was curious your two centsEveryone's two cents!
Melee or No Melee?

HI! Did you see this one? It has milgrain around all three stones and outer smooth bezel.
If symmetry was part of the issue with your first iteration of using these stones, a center halo may evoke a similar concern.
Hello, all! Finally getting around to showing you the beautiful setting Caysie created for my old 3-stone ring. Caysie is wonderful -- kind, funny, quick to communicate, and so talented! It took her no time at all to translate my ideas into a beautiful design. Details: my 3 diamonds (0.33 - 0.43 - 0.33 cts) with tiny polished platinum bezels, dropped into 18K yellow gold milgrain bezels, sitting in little tulip-like 18K yellow gold "cups." It's so delicate in real life, and it's exactly what I wanted. Enough words! Here are photos, starting with the mandatory flower shot. Please bear with...

Either way would be pretty I think. I love symmetry so I personally probably wouldn’t do it. The melee halo would make the center appear larger and not sure how that would affect the center to side stone ratio. I like smaller sides to accentuate the center diamond, but that may only be the case for an engagement ring. I think if I were doing a three stone for a right hand ring, I would leave them all the same. I think I would save the melee for a moi et you ring shank as it would give the overall design a little more umph.
You can always purchase another lab down the road if you want. Prices have come down even further since you purchased that one so you will probably save money. Just be mindful that most labs are generally high color, so you would have to figure out how that would play with the K color diamond.
