Hi everyone
I had this ring made with all of my old stones (cuz I couldn’t sell) and I’m not sure I love it so need some input from experts here.
I wanted something different and unique to wear as a right hand ring but it looks off to me. My jeweler will help me but can. Only change it once.
It looks lopsided. Do you all agree or am I being too picky?
I wonder if I should change the pear because it’s just too small? Should I make the pear larger, or should I get an oval same size as the one on bottom left?
I need ideas on how to fix this as I don’t love it.

Please share your suggestions on how to have this remade to look better?
1.5 center
.33 rounds
.3 oval
Not sure size of pear at moment
Lastly, does anyone like it as it is? Am I just not seeing it?

It's a little too busy and asymmetrical for my tastes. I also don't care for the sides being wider than the center.

One idea is a simple, classic three stone ring with the center stone and the pair of round side stones. Or a three stone necklace or bracelet.

You could sell the leftover small oval and pear or set them aside for a future project.

Good luck with it!

Personally, I would bezel all the stones and randomly arrange them until I find a pattern that I like as a cluster, with scaled shapes either using a drawing tool, or paper cut outs.

Or as a random scattered diamond Bombé ring, to include the diamond meleé in the band.

DK :))

Thank you! Good ideas but I am not great at this. Any suggestions who I can work with on a better design ?

I honestly do not know how you would put all of these diamonds in one ring to make a cohesive look. Can you use the two round diamonds for earrings?
I had saved a picture of this ring from somewhere on line. It was being used as a right hand ring as it doesn’t look like an engagement ring. You could maybe do something like this with the center diamond and those on the shank. As for the oval and pear, I don’t have a great solution. Perhaps you could make a small ring with the oval set in an east-west orientation and use it on your pointer finger on the other hand? David Klass has made many rings here on PS. He will work with you and his prices seem reasonable. Hopefully someone far more creative than I will have some other suggestions. Hope you are doing well!1755398279556.png

Inspiration rings that I have for my collection of CSs.

How about having each stone set in a thin square profile band and wear them as stacker rings?

DK :))

Thank you! I’m doing ok. Trying to keep my mind distracted w things like this vs the divorce which is not fun.

This image is hard to see but I’m searching online.
So you would agree w me the ring made just doesn’t look right, right?

I found this which I like- what do u think?
Maybe you’re right just use 1.5 and sides and not pear and oval

Yes, this would be a nice alternative. At least you would be using the three largest diamonds. Just don't know about using all of the ones you have in one piece of jewelry. You are clearly moving on, and I am glad to hear that you are ok!

Depends on what you like, what you envision, if you are limited to using these same stones.
Cut and paste can be helpful, but it is limited - if asking your newer to mock up different ideas isn’t an option.

Wow thank you SO much for this! I don’t know how to do this but this is super helpful for me to see visually.
I maybe like the larger oval but it looks like tic tac to to me. Lol

Thank you. I’m getting th sense where I went just doesn’t have the skill to give me options. To say, perhaps all these together won’t work.
I wish they had shown me what you did above BEfore I moved forward
They did make me one single wax but I had to go in person to see it
Then when I said I didn’t love it they
Sent me away and made a second wax for me to go in and see
However- seeing options quickly on a computer is so much better I think.
Oh well, lesson learned
Maybe I’ll just use the three rounds

Does anyone know how I reach david klass or is it only thru messenger on Etsy ?
Does he have email?

I’m going to continue to search online for ideas.

Thank you all so much for responding to me.

Thank you. I’m hanging in there! I could write a book - lol
I appreciate you and all your responses over the years :-)

The reason the design isn’t working imo is because it’s trying to turn an asymmetrical collection of stones into a symmetrical design and then the pear looks out of place. If you put the central large diamond off centre, it probably would look a lot better imo.

I’ll mess around with it and post back in a bit, if you like.

I can't photoshop but I tried to put together 2 arrangements using bad powerpoint lol. You can likely photoshop them to get an idea of how it'll look.

arrangement 1.jpg

The textured band in the middle is supposed to represent the pave band. The first arrangement has the 1.5ct stone off centre to the right, with the horizontal oval as your "centre" and the two rounds more symmetrically to the right (but one is offset on the band kind of deliberately, so that the line on the bottom of the finger will be maintained (both the rounds end at the same place). You can of course rotate the design in any direction if you like that better, I just assumed this would be for the right ring finger and if your 1.5ct is closer to your pinky, it sort of psychologically makes it look bigger. Also, you expect to see the bigger stones closer to the base of the finger, that's why I picked bottom right.

arrangement 2.jpg

This is a completely asymmetrical arrangement, I just thought it looked sort of pleasing to the eye, even though it doesn't follow any rules. Looking at it again, I might move the oval + round on the right both down a bit, so that the bottom 0.3 round follows the same "base" line as the 1.5 round. Looks neater. But I deleted the file I was playing around on so I can't edit it any more.

Omg this is so great! Thank you!
How are u doing this? What are you using ? I’d love to play with it myself but my skills are lacking - I can try
I think you are onto Something g with moving the 1.5 to another place!

Great work! My eye gravitates to the second one but either could work. Bravo!

It’s literally PowerPoint!! And the pear shape is off of Google images. It looks a bit funny cos I tried to remove the background kinda unsuccessfully.

Thank you!! The second one is actually the first one I made, but the first one follows more of the “rules”. I do prefer it though as well.

thank you so much. This helps. Now i need to decide if i like the bottom one more of the 3 stone vertical one i posted better.

If you decide to do the 3 stone vertical one, you can do a toi et moi with the remaining oval and pear stones + pave band, like this:

good ideas! Please keep them coming, I just saw this on etsy that is interesting.

do you like this or the art deco one i posted better?

Personally, the art deco. This is too swoopy for my taste. But I would prefer to try and make the single asymmetrical ring work if I could, because that is far more my taste. I like mixing multiple shapes in a single piece of jewellery and I enjoy asymmetry.

ya like the bottom one you posted? I am going to ask the local person who made it cost to fix like bottom, i'll also try and reach DK to ask about making the art deco one.

i wish i had more vision so i had done it right the first time. Then again i should have come back here to ask! i have a lot going on lately so my mind is goo

thank you!

personally, yes I like the bottom one I posted. But I would try and see if you could photoshop it to that design first. You don't want to be stuck if you don't like it!
