Hi everyone,
I''m new to posting to the forums (as you can tell), but I''ve been reading and learning from the excellent information here for about 6 months now. I definitely appreciate all the help you didn''t even realize you were giving me! I''ve learned so much so far.
Anyways, I will be purchasing our (her) engagement ring in the next few weeks. I''ve picked out some nice round brilliant stones from JamesAllen around 1 1/4 carats. I''ve used the Holloway Cut Advisor to choose the best stones I can find, and have picked stones all with GIA Excellent cut grades. I''m going to go with a pavé setting, and I''ve asked JamesAllen to put together a unique custom design. It will be based on this elegant pavé setting, but I have asked them to create a tapering effect in the sidestones, starting with a large stone at the top descending into a smaller stone at the bottom. I think it will look very nice and still be fashionable for decades to come.
I''ve read some good success stories with JamesAllen, but I''m interested if anyone has any notes or tips (good or bad) for me on ordering with this online retailer. Or does anyone have any suggestions on the ring??
Thank you so much for all the help!!
