Calling all PSers, I need help/opinions, please!
My fiancé and I have decided to get an alternate setting (a halo) for our engagement ring! This is so that I can switch them out occasionally, to get different looks. Kind of like clothes for my AVC! Hehe.
And this is where I'm stuck. I cannot decide if I want to get the Tacori 2620 or custom-make one with the jeweler who custom-made my solitaire engagement ring. There are pros and cons to each selection.
Custom Halo Pros:
-has a delicate halo
-it's our unique ring with our personal elements in it
-will match our wedding band, which will be custom-made at the same jeweler
-will be a twin to our solitaire ring as well, so all 3 rings will be "a set"
-will definitely lay flush with my wedding band
-looks a little... less busy than the Tacori 2620
Custom Halo Cons:
-Not sure if it'll turn out as nice as the Tacori's craftsmenship (the solitaire turned out beautiful, but halos are a different thing)
-looks slightly less ornate/vintage than the Tacori 2620
Tacori Pros:
-Looks very vintage/ornage
-Guaranteed result of having a really nicely hand-crafted ring
-has a delicate halo
-has a unique "basket"
Tacori Cons:
-looks like it will sit too high on the finger
-can look a bit busy with ALL the detail going on
-not a whole lot of personalization (although we've asked and they've said it is possible to substitute the two small diamonds near the bottom of the band with our birthstones, one on each side)
-not sure if it'll sit flush with my wedding band due to the bulging basket
Here are some pictures of what the Custom Halo will look like, and I included a Tacori 2620 picture for reference.
Also, one thing I'm trying to detect is which Halo and the pave work show LESS metal. Could any of you PSers with a good eye give me your opinion on this?
Thank you everyone in advance!!!
