Custom/Duty for Canada?

Hello,
Can someone confirm whether there is custom/duty tax on loose or set diamond if importing to Canada from US. I have in a thread here that there is no more custom/duty as of 2007 but I would like to hear from someone who has bought a diamond online recently to confirm this.

If there is no custom/duty on imported diamond to Canada then I can choose a stone accordingly to fit my budget.

I am from Canada. I have not shipped a loose stone here, but lots of jewelry items.

There is no duty. But you will be charged sales tax (I think it''s both GST + PST) by Customs.

There''s no duty to ship from US to Canada. I just bought a setting and loose diamond separately few months ago shipped to Canada without any problems. You just pay HST/PST/GST depending where you''re at.
