Thanks in advance. I've been looking for a few months and reading as much as possible.

Any feedback for me and what you like and don't like about some of these? Thanks so much in advance!!!

For me it would be between #1 and #4, and I prefer the faceting of #4 for my own personal taste. And if money is no object, the 2ct faces up pretty nicely.

Thanks for the feedback. What did you think of #3? We thought it was very unique (with the halo) but was worried it might be too far out there :)

For me, it doesn't appeal to me. I think it would have to be something you were really sure you liked before committing to it. I've never seen one like it but the virtual image doesn't do it for me, imo.

#1 looks to have best performance & overall brilliance, so that'd be my choice. #4 is nice as well and is a different pattern but is noticeably more expensive(!).

#4 or #2 would be my choice.

#3 ... No way, does not appeal to me
at all. It has that cracked mirror look.

4 is my favorite faceting pattern
and number 2 looks nice because it
has some bright chunky facets.

None of them.

Stick to GOG's Signature Modern stones only. Those are not Signature stones.

Thank you all for your replies. I think we have narrowed the field to #1 and #4.
We know these are not their "signature cushions" but that is because they don't have any that fit our size (1.8 - 2.2 Ct) Color - G or better and clarity SV2 or better requirements.

If the difference in price didn't matter would you choose #1 or #4?

I would wait a short time to see if GOG is getting any more inventory. Have you asked them about sourcing other options?

I would not recommend purchasing any of these stones.

First thanks for the feedback.

Rocky, Why don't you recommend these stones? Anything in particular?

All of them a stinky when it comes to faceting and performance.

That's why they aren't signature line. They are all flawed. The ASETs show it. And so do the pictures.

Gypsy already effectively answered this question in fewer words than I would use!

I completely agree with her.

If I may respectfully ask ... I have seen recommended on this forum cushions with worse ASET's and facet patterns than some of the options here. Why now recommending against some perfectly fine options?

Why didn't they make Signature Line Jon? Those are the same reasons we aren't recommending them. The first and last have the best faceting. But both show quite a bit of leakage under the table however. #2 isn't pleasing in either ASET or faceting.
#3 has a nice amount of red in the ASET but the faceting is... not great and it's a hot mess in terms of optical symmetry.

Thanks for the quick reply Gypsy. perhaps I asked in haste as I am not familiar with the details of the transaction. One thing I do know is that we'll find the best we can within the tolerances given to us. I'll look into the other details tomorrow.

Kind regards,
Jon

Just looking at the images, I like #4 the best. In the videos, I thought #1 performed well, but #4 is the most pleasing to my eye all around. I will say that GOG can sometimes locate other options and that may be what Jon is referring to above. But I had looked at the original post and the links and videos before seeing all the replies and determined my preferences before reading the other replies.

Never mind, deleted post.

I like the facet pattern of #4 however the aset is not perfect. So if you are not in a rush, I would wait till the perfect cushion comes along, I waited 4 months before I found mine and it was well worth the effort and wait for my cushion.

I took another look. I did not see the video before, sorry. #4 is an 8 main, while the ASET is not perfect. Jonathan is right that it is a nice stone and the video shows a great stone. #1 shows really nicely on the video too. So I will revise my comments.

I should have looked at that. My bad. If they will provide their lifetime warranty on #4 or #1 then I think they are very nice choices.

This is assuming the OP prefers an 8 main cushion like you do. If he prefers a 4 main cushion modified, #1 might work for him as well. The "perfect cushion" will depend on the person's individual taste on the faceting plus a good ASET.
