cushions and bowtie effect

I've read that some rectangular cushions can have a bowtie effect. I have read all the posts on this board about it but still do not understand what this means. Can someone please explain this to me and maybe show me a picture of one?
 
Try doing a search on bowtie cushions and a bunch of threads will pop up with previous discussion and pictures :))
