Here they are together! I''m not sure, but they may have mixed them up. The cushion brilliant looks awfully squ-oval to me. Thoughts? I''m drawn to the more rectangular one, but I need to see what all the stuff means... any help? Thanks!

I think your exclamation point for the second stone says it all! #2 is a very pretty stone, that would get my vote. I like the faceting on #1 but the ASET just shows dark holes in the middle, which I don't like.

D''oh, pic...

Yeah! I loved the idea of the OMC, but I''m just immediately drawn to the symmetry of the regular ol'' cushion.

I''m just inundating my own thread here... but I just heard back from James at WF and they are labelled correctly! So I DO like the OMC!

The OMC definitely gets my vote!!

Ok, I''m confused. Are these antique or newly cut?
OK..., thats exactly what I meant (in the other thread) with the confusing of ID''s..., can someone tell me why the rectangular Cushion in identified as a Cushion Brilliant and why the rectangular Cushion is identified as a OMC...

To me they are both rectangular cushion brilliants?
What makes one an OMC and the other a cushion???

In the photos I like the E more, but I prefer more rounded sides like that. I've seen the F when looking for recut material last year. DG, I hear you but on the E the lower halves are too long for OMB don't you think? I also wonder if it's too shallow in the bottom (and overall) for best performance, though it may look quite good.

LOL, aha! My comments on the earlier thread were limited to antique diamonds only :)

Exactly..., too many factors = confusing... ;-)

I like the 1st one, the one that''s labelled as a cushion.

Skippy and Ellen - I think the OMC is the one for me!

Erica - I don''t know when they were cut...the cushion was certed in 2005 and the OMC was certed in 2004, but that doesn''t mean much. It is listed on the cert as an old miner, but I don''t know much more than that.

Another vote for the OMC!
