HI,
I am trying to by a diamond that sparkles close to a round. Does any of the mentioned cuts do that? Also, it seems a lot of the cushion spread bigger. Good fr me but does it affect the brilliance? I am just starting this process and am completely confused. Thanks.

babydoll, go and check out www.goodoldgold.com. Jonathan takes videos of all sorts of diamonds and compares them. I think you''ll learn a lot from his videos! Good luck on your search! And also, there''s a difference in all of those options you listed. The question really is "what is your preference?" and when you see the videos you''ll be able to tell which cuts you like more.

Yes these are all very different shapes and the cut quality is crucial in order to have a beautiful diamond. As for the spread no way to tell without comparing actual diamonds, generally well cut rounds will face up the largest but it very much depends. Have you considered an oval? These can have a good spread for the weight and sparkle.

Lucky made a good suggestion with the videos, also check out GOG's new signature old mine cushions, they are spectacular!

If you want something that sparkles like a traditional RB, check out the square H&A or the modern 8 main cushion brillants.
