Cutlet small

Most of the cushions I have seen online and in person have had depths of approx 62-68 and I am concerned that this one might be too shallow. I know that there are no clear cut guidelines for cushions like there are for rounds but any input anyone has would be greatly appreciated.

I would say too shallow-- sorry

Usually tooooo shalow, BUT!!!! Ive seen some pretty hot looking cushions with the same total depth, It depends on the stone and YOUR taste.

Do you have a picture?

It will be easier to comment!!!

Unfortunately I do not have a picture of the stone. The "typical" cushion should have a depth between 60-70?

I''m also cushion hunting, and I''m generally searching for 59-65ish total depth...more than that and it''s a little bottom heavy for my tastes...

My cushion has a 56 depth and I have to tell you, it doesn''t bother me at all. Maybe on paper it''s considered shallow but when I look at it, it is sparkly and beautiful. While I think it''s very important to be well informed when buying a stone and making sure you buy one that is well-cut, I also think that you need to really like what you see. For me, I wanted a stone that looked big and some of the deeper ones just seemed too bottom heavy and didn''t really look like they really met their carat weight. I guess my point is that you shouldn''t be too hung up on the numbers, especially for the fancy stones and a great deal depends on your personal taste. Of course, I''m not an expert so I don''t really know what I''m talking about but I encourage you to look at the stone and see if it speaks to you before you get too worried about the numbers. Just my very humble opinion...

Again, there are amazing cushions with 55% +/- total depth!!!!

But again, there are amazing 75% +/- total depth cushions too!!!!!

So basically trust your taste!@!
