It is interesting that these modified cushion brilliants have that same halo around the table light leakage. Take a look at the new GOG branded mod. cushion and then the unbranded mod. cushion brilliant...the ASETS look about like this 1.70c stone. Have them do a video for you on this stone. There is already a video on these two below. Nice light return on them both.

That 1.70 cushion looks like it performs well. He will do a video for you and then we can all watch it. Jonathan is the cushion guru and loves them, I doubt if he will recommend a non-performing stone or add it to his stock of diamonds. If you will look at the ASETS of all the modified cushion brilliants he now has on his search site they look similar to that 1.70 you found, IMO.
