Cushion from Mark T!!

Well it looks like I am finally going to get that long awaited upgrade ring. Thanks so much to everyone here who helped me make up my mind... I have been searching for years to no avail - yayy PS!

The best advice I received was to contact Mark Turnowski of ERD - he is as good as his wonderful reputation here, if not better! I love that he is not a big salesperson but more of a really knowledgeable and helpful friend. We have been really nervous about this whole thing and Mark is very patient and oddly calming - lol.

Mark brought it in on his own and emailed me saying that "this is the one" and that it is one of the best cushions he has seen. I was a little worried about the depth but he assured me that it just wasn't an issue because the diamond has such wonderful brilliance and a nice spread for it's size.

I have one picture from Mark to share which he says doesn't do it justice (hopefully I can figure out how to post it).

I don''t know anything about cushion numbers, but I really love the image of this stone!! I would trust mark''s opinion on the stone as well. How exciting!!! I also love the H/VS2 combo for fancies...clean and white without a higher cost.

I wanted to add that this stone pic is a good one--much better than the one I got from Mark. I trusted his eyes and told him to go ahead and send the stone and didn''t show the pics to my BF until the stone was on it''s way. Mark said he just couldn''t get a good pic and, trust me, it was a poopy-pic. My BF was almost sickened when I told him "that" stone was on it''s way. He thought I was out of my mind! I had heard so much about Mark plus I had spoken to him and just trusted him. We were blown away...and you will be, too. Make sure you are sitting down when you open the package....and then tell us all about it!!! I am so excited for you!!

I have decided on the Ritani Endless Love setting with no halo (thanks for posting all those great pics neatfreak)... I was aiming for something really pretty but also classic - I want this to be the forever ring.

I will be sure to take lots of pictures when the time comes!!!

This looks like it will be a GREAT cushion. I got one for my 15th too! Moved up from a .38 oval in a plain setting to a 1.62 with some meele on the shank. Sounds very similar to what your''re doing doesn''t it? I felt a little guilty but realized I needed to do it now and enjoy it! Hope you come to that realization soon too!
