Cushion diamond search

Hello!

I am looking to purchase a cushion cut diamond that will be set in a white gold pave halo ring. I like James Allen as you can see the diamonds in 360 and was hoping to have some help finding that perfect diamond!!

My preferred specs are:

- Colour: G at the lowest
- Carat: 0.7 - 0.9
- Cut: Very good or above
- Clarity: VS2 or higher, however would be happy with a SI1 or 2 if you couldn't see the flaws without magnification
- Ratio: Close to 1 so it's as square as possible
- Price: $2k-3.5k for diamond only

I quite like this one, however thought I should get some expert opinions before making the purchase.

Also if anyone has any pictures of their rings that are similar from James Allen I would love to see them!! I'm from Australia so am a bit scared not being able to try it on/easily return etc. so any advice is very much appreciated .

Ps. I am a size J in Australian size which is a 4 5/8 in American sizes so not sure whether to go up to a 5 or down to a 4.5?

Just re sizing, you could either do 4.75 or 5 with sizing beads to prevent spinning.

OP, the cushion you linked to - https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/cushion-cut/0.75-carat-g-color-vvs2-clarity-sku-3889440 - is okay, but if you go back to the JA video and look at the area I highlighted, you may see it looks a bit mushy there...


I did find a few other cushions meeting your prereqs which may appeal to you. The 1st & 2nd have facet patterns very similar to your posted stone but with crisper faceting:

Hi @Sj1234 , I have a 1 carat cushion set in a platinum pave halo from James Allen and like you I was nervous about ordering internationally (I'm in the UK). I did have a couple of shipping delays, but in the grand scheme of things - nothing major and when my ring arrived it was easy to forget these delays as it is beautiful and I love it!!
