I agree that the few Legacy''s I have seen (mostly in print) tend to have a lower profile with larger tables and shallower crown heights. But that might just be my imagination.Date: 3/28/2008 7:49:57 PM

Thanks boston_jeff, i took the large table into consideration, the reason I did not go below 60 is because I looked at the legacies in the tiffany store and they used tables of 64-66 so I thought that this larger table might be a function of getting the setting to look right. What do you think?
I feel your pain. I am thoroughly convinced my diamond search resulted in (or, at the very least, prolonged a wicked bout of pneumonia over the holidays). It sounds like you've done loads of research and have seen enough to know what looks good and what doesn't, so that's all that matters. Good luck, have fun and post pictures of that big beauty once you've had it set.Date: 3/28/2008 9:20:48 PM

Hey Pixley, the crisscut was the closest thing that I saw to the facet pattern of the tiffany but they dont sell the stone loose and the cheapest e vs1 ring that I was quoted was 37k so I had to decide between a cushion modified brilliant or the cushion brillinat. I went with the cushion brilliant because it had larger facets (even thought the modifieds had more 'fire', I don't love the crushed ice look). So that has been my journey so far. I think I am going to finalize the stone on tuesday and bring it to the caster to start the setting. Hopefully it comes out nice. I will definitely post pictures if it comes out the way I want. I am planning on proposing may 10 and have been looking for stones for a long time so my blood pressure has reached an all time high, so I just need to make a purchase and live with my decision. Thank you guys for your support

Hey pixley, I think I made an executive decision, I think I am going to use GOG to get my stone, they seem to really have it together. Just one question (to everyone), GOG prices are slightly higher than RAP and I am generally used to getting a discount on RAP, any thoughts on this? I just love their policies and the amount of info they provide so for such a big purchase, I want to be comfortable. Thanks again
Hi pharmgirl10: You might want to have a look at this recent thread regarding depth and table percentages for cushions: https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/education-on-cushion-cut-wanted.81814/Date: 3/31/2008 12:16:55 AM

What exactly should the depth and table be on a cushion?? I want a rectangular one so the length/width should be greater than 1.15?? Is that correct? I have just started looking and definitely don''t know much.
Thanks
