What do you guys think of the following:
download_4.png

It is a 1.53 CARAT H-VS2 EXCELLENT CUT.

The 2 things that bother me:
- the 12 o'clock arrow is faded (compartively to the other arrows)
- there is a clear crystal at the 3 o'clock position which is visible at 20x mag (picture above)

There are some inclusions on the edges (see 7pm and 1pm), but those are candidates for coverup using prongs.
And although HCA is 2.7-vg-vg-vg-vg is a little higher, its priced just right and has a 56 table and falls just outside the AGS0 line. It is a GIA 3X though, and has an enchanteddiamonds score of 94%

Overall, I am trying to work with some defects as long as they are not major issues, since the price is right.
Are the 2 things above deal breakers?

Note: I havent been able to see this in person since its not in NY, its offshore. So they cant even send me ASET or Idealscope images :( bummer.

I don't like the patterning at all. Do you have an ASET image as it looks like the inclusions would effect performance?

Unfortunately not, solgen. Apparently its in India and they dont have the tools.... The only way, apparently, would be to buy it and get it appraised I guess. Not sure if thats the way its supposed to be - This is from James Allen.

What are you looking for? If you want perfect H&A patterning, this diamond is not it. However, it might still be a good choice and a good value. At that size and with VS2 clarity, the diamond will 99% likely be eyeclean from the top, 12 inches away. From the side, it's hard to say. Be sure the ask the vendor about whether it's eyeclean to your standards, even if that means from all sides, holding it up to your eyeball.

I also find it unlikely that the inclusions would affect performance of this diamond. Remember that we are looking at hugely magnified images.

If you're not sure of your parameters, I recommend looking at some of the videos on Good Old Gold's YouTube channel that compare different cut quality and colors.

The photo does not appear to be "head on" which makes it look wonky.

I agree that the diamond is probably tilted, which is why it isn't lit up evenly. However, given that you cannot get the ASET done, I would move on and continue to look for other stones.
