Crown Height %?

How can I figure out the Crown height %
on my own? Can I figure this out with the
specs or do I need the jeweler to tell me?

The only way to get the crown/pavilion height/angles is from measurements obtained by a Sarin report, Megascope report, or a gemologist using direct measurement.

It's unlikely that a jeweler would be able to give you these measurements unless he had access to one of the three methods mentioned above. Most jeweler's do not, as most jewelry stores have neither the equipment mentioned or gemologists on staff.

The last time I heard figures mentioned, less than 3% of jewelry stores employed a gemologist on staff. I would suspect the percentage is even less for stores which invest money in a Sarin or Megascope.

An independent gemologist appraiser or helpful diamond vendor is probably the answer to your dilemna.
