Creepy Creature Found In Ontario Lake

looks like a poor animal with some genetic mutation probably caused by our crappy polluted environment. poor thing!

Ya maybe the creek was poluted..... it is sad whatever it is.

It looks like a water-logged otter.

I don't think it has any deformities. It's just the effect of being in the water.

When something dead gets water logged, it can look pretty grotesque by the time it is discovered. Humans included.

Ditto, I think the swollen face and lack of fur is a result of being in the water, not mutations.

I think it''s an otter...either with a defect, or that was rotting and hair was beginning to fall off. It looks very otter like.

I remember something like this happening not to long ago - but on Long Island.

Looks like a bear to me. Being in the water after death cause a lot of changes very quickly so it was probably just a normal bear (or whatever it is) when it died.

Yep. Those were dogs I think - pit bulls. People thought they were monsters, but it was just a result of being in the water.

scary what the water can do to a body.... ew

It looks like some sort of badger or something...

well here is another stumper - I have actually figured this one out but I''ll let you guys chew on this (not literally of course - EW!)

Mystery Beast #2

I can''t access that site at work. Could you post the picture instead of the link?

It does look like a bear, but the article said 30 cm creature? That must be one tiny bear cub.....

I think it might be a mole?

Or perhaps a groundhog?

"A snaggle-toothed, furry creature with a bald face and a rat’s tale" UGH.... or just a malformed RAT... ugh ugh ugh ugh ugh I HATE RATS

Yea it could be a muskrat or something like that, though the teeth don''t look quite right.

They keep updating the article and I find it rather hilarious as they do as it just gets weirder and weirder.

"The nurses themselves have been posted elsewhere, and staff at the nursing station won’t talk. “We work for the federal government,” said one. “We’re under a gag order.”"

Bwahahahaha. Right. A gag order. From the "federal government". Straight from Harper himself, I am sure!

When you start asking crazy, you get crazy. (anyone else here the strumming of a banjo?).

"I''m sure other men have said this but this IS a picture of my motherinlaw!'''' LOL at that comment.

Anyway it looks like a ferret to me.?

That is TOO funny!

Looks like a smaller mammal that had a case of mange. It would explain both the loss of facial hair and the tail. The teeth are all wrong for a rodent and not much like a dog, but maybe an otter.

definitely looks kind of freaky!
