Crazy Package Delivery

Something crazy happened and I wonder if anyone has heard of this. My neighbor died and his family just listed the vacant house. Yesterday there was a beat-up box left on their steps. The box was return to sender, headed to MA, sent back to CA. The name on the return did not match with my deceased neighbor. It was a priority box, $90 postage.
I looked up the name for the MA house, they did not live there and refused delivery. I opened the box looking for a clue. In the box was an old stinky man's slipper, a greasy rag, a cheap packaged kid's game, and a leather purse. I opened the purse and there was a vacuum sealed bag with 1lb of Crystal Meth!!!!!
Holy Moly, I called the cops and they came and pick it up. If someone comes by, I know nothing about any box!

I wonder if someone was using it as kind of a drop off location, knowing that the neighbor had died and the house was vacant. Perhaps they thought they could just come be and get the box?

I guess all the "stinky" stuff is to keep the dogs from alerting.

I've heard of stuff like this happening but it's pretty scary to happen so close to your house!

i was wondering about the old slipper
but dogs arnt that stupid, unlike a lot of crims

We have a Ring Doorbell. We haven't seen an strangers lurking.
