So, I found on craigslist a wedding band that has 1/3 carat total weight in platinum for 520.00 (well actually 500.00 and then she raised it, grrr!)

I''m going to post a few pictures, but it has 9 diamonds and it''s channel set. It''s a size four too, woot woot!
I think it''s a really good deal, but I just want to make sure. I was looking at a band that has WG and sapphires...do you think the round diamonds would look good with my cushion cut catheridal solitare?

Do you think it''s a good price? Or should I just let it go because I''m a women and I love a good steal doesn''t mean I should get it?

I think it''s classic looking and would look terrific!

It''s a pretty ring and could probably go w/ quite a few designs.
Is it in good shape? Does it sparkle well?I actually just bought something on CL too! Things that I wanted to know were where did she buy it, when, and what did she know about the stones as far as size clarity etc. I also brought a loup to make sure there weren''t any black spots. Mine had a feather in it. Also you might want to compare the price to some of the other online vendors.

She says the diamond total weight is 1/3 carats. She says the diamonds are clean to the naked eye, are all white and match. No appraisal/certification. Not taking any offers (which I find odd...seeings how its an eternity band and it can''t be sized up or down and a size 4 isn''t the most popular size!)

I''ll email her and ask her where she bought it, when, etc. I''ll def. bring my loop if I go look at it! I''m just not sure if that''s the "look" I''m going for with my band! I''ll hit up Jared''s today and try a few on. I''ll let you know what she says!

Oh it''s an eternity band. Cool! I love those, but yeah they can''t be sized. I''d be curious to know where she bought it. What look are you going for? If it''s not perfect I''d hold out but it can''t hurt to take a look at it. You might fall in love with it.

I have seen some nice eternity bands for a couple hundred more than that price in white gold. is your ring platinum?

I just recieved an email back from her stating it''s a half eternity band...which means it can be sized. The price is 500.00 and she bought it at Helzburg diamonds 5 years ago for 895.00! (I wish I was shopping for platinum 5 years ago!)

I understand that platinum has gone up...but considering what she paid for it...that''s almost 50% of what she paid for it? She says that the diamonds in platinum are always better than in WG...hmmm, not sure about that statement, but alright.
She said she is downsizing her jewerly box because of $$ issues, alright, I can buy that.

She said everything the same as in the CL listing...with the same pictures...nothing new. Her listing stated she had MORE pictures...but I got the same 3 on the listing...but whatever I suppose.

My E-ring is WG. Would it be weird having my WB platinum?

Well like I said it can''t hurt to look. I would almost say go with WG though if your E ring is WG too. But I see noting wrong with mixing metals as far as the way it looks. Will the platinum rub into he WG? Not sure how that works. I don''t agree with the statement about diamonds set in platinum being better than the ones in white gold either. I think you''d need to see it to judge the sparkle. I don''t know anything about Helzburg diamonds. Is it a chain? Check out the site and see if there is something similar on it and what the quality of the stones are. I would take a look at some of the rings on the vendors site here if I were you just to do some comparing.

I just looked on the site. I didn''t see any platinum but the WG bands with 1/2 carat total weight were about $599. I''m not sure the ring is that great a deal. I know some people find great stuff at some of these chain stores but I would probably look elsewhere first. I think you can find even better.
But of course it''s up to you.

I know Ebay isn''t the safest place to buy but some people on PS have bought from this vendor and it''s a good example of something in that price range.

Or this one which is similar to the one you were looking at on CL
