For those who are interested in such things, the Council for Responsible Jewellry Practices (CRJP), a worldwide organization promoting socially and environmentally responsible practices for the jewelry industry, has announced its Principles Consultation Feedback Analysis Report and it has been approved by the board. The members of the council include most of the major jewelry associations in the US including AGS, JA, and MJSA; Major manufacturers like Rosy Blue, Aurafin and BHP Billiton and some of the top retailers including Cartier, Tiffany and Zales.
