I''m thinking of getting a pair of Martini stud earrings and have already contacted Whiteflash. I''m hoping to keep this project under $1000 if possible. Here''s what they suggested:

http://www.whiteflash.com/diamonds/Compare_Diamonds.aspx?idnos=913048,913046

Does anyone else have any suggestions or ideas either regarding any of the above or any of your own? I think I would prefer to stick with their ACA''s as I don''t think I can stray from H&A and as long as they''re "eye clean" I''m happy. My ering is an F and I''m considering I''s and J''s to keep costs down, does anyone think that I''ll notice the difference once on my ears? Aside from cost at the moment, I''m looking around the .3 ct as I will probably try to get jackets in the future.

Thanks in advance for any advice and opinions.

A/E, you should be fine with I/J stones in that size. Keep in mind that you can always return if you find you''re still too color sensitive, but there are a ton of gals here who have lower color studs and are fine with them.

HOUMed gal just came in to look at .30ish studs in H, I, and J color and ended up selecting the Js; you can see her thread here. I know she was wondering if she''d be bothered by lower color prior to seeing them.

I have studs from WF, about 0.35ct each. I think droping color is fine becasue you rarly see the profile view of earings. I have SI1''s and they are totally eyeclean.

Thanks so much for the replies! I have a new question. How comfortable are the martini settings? Could I wear the studs 24/7? I have read about concerns with the martini settings making the ear holes larger, has anyone experienced this problem?

I actually found martini settings to be more comfortable than basket set.

I wore my .55 studs around the clock for two years and it didn''t affect my piercings at all.

Ltlfirecracker, I did not realize we were earring twins! I have .34s from WF in martinis and I love them.

Angeleyez, hi! I think you will be fine with I or J. My earrings are H and I, and my pendant is J. Honestly I cannot really see color in any of them.

I have the martini settings and I try to take them out at night but sometimes I forget. They are extremely comfy. My ear holes have not increased or anything after wearing the earrings nearly every day for a year. I think you will love them! I like the size of mine, I do hope to get closer to .5 or .6 in each ear someday but not in any hurry. The .34s are a great size for every day.

I can''t speak for the J stones but I am confident the I''s would be fine. I just had some earrings made and picked an I and a G because they were the largest and closest in size of the stones I had to pick from. I honestly cannot tell the difference between them and they both face up white. I don''t have the martini setting but have tried them on and found them very comfortable. I want to get a pair of WG studs in that setting someday.

The stones you are looking at look great. I can''t wait to see what you end up with.
