This, for me, looks like the perfect asscher. The steps, the octoganal shape, the wide windmills... its exactly what I'm looking for.

Specs: 2.06ct, E, VVS2
Depth: 67%
Table: 58%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good

Waiting for more pics and idealscope, etc. What do you all think so far?

ETA: 7.26mm x 7.06mm x 4.79mm

ditto

Also need the crown height if you can get it.

Karl - I requested that as well. Guess the Jewish holiday will cause me to have to wait until early next week. I''ll post back then. Thanks!

welcome.
make sure its on hold because it looks kicken so far.

I love the shape of this stone! Get it! I love asschers but this exact shapes seems to be hard to find.

I love this, too, rossi! I love the windmills and how the corners are clipped.

Finally got the idealscope image! Didnt get the crown height.

And, unfortunately, after finding out how much the custom setting is going to be ($10k

)... I think this asscher might be out of reach no matter how kicken it is.

Still... any new thoughts?

Honestly, if this Asscher is deemed Strm worthy, I would forgo the ($10k!) custom setting and set it as a simple solitaire for the time being.

I''m curious what you''re wanting in the way of a custom setting, and maybe we can help you find pre-made alternatives.

Its from McTeigue & McClelland in MA. Believe me, the pricetag was shocking - I did not expect a setting that doesnt have detail work like micropave or expensive sidestones to be anything near that much.

However, its the one setting that my girlfriend immediately said "YES! That's the one!

As for just putting it in a simple band for now? Ehh... I kinda want to propose with "THE" ring, ya know?
