Could I upgrade my center stone and keep my original setting?

My 10 year anniversary is coming up and I was hoping to do something with my ring to celebrate. After talking with my husband and realizing how much it means to him for me to wear my original setting, I am curious if it would be possible to upgrade my center stone to a 1.5 ct Oval Moissinate or maybe a floral moissinate. I have included pictures of both my current ring from the fronts and sides as well as mockups of what I am hoping for. Thanks!

I would take it to a jeweler and ask. To me it looks like the head could be replaced with a new one

You would need to replace the head entirely, which is doable by a high quality jeweler

Definitely looks doable to have the head replaced so you could keep the original setting! Would love to see what you end up choosing to replace the center stone.
