Hello all,

I was interested in finding out whether there are any definite signs that may indicate it is certainly not or certainly a (type) of diamond that is set in 18ct gold. The inside stone is pink, obviously, and also here I do not know what it is.

Thank you!

I don't understand the question: are you trying to
1) discern if these are real diamonds
or 2) discern what cut of diamonds these are?

1) Discern whether these are real diamonds..!

I mentioned in the other thread that a jeweler will be able to determine if they are diamonds.

A jeweler will have a little device that they can test them with. It shouldn't cost you anything; you just need to take it down to a jewelry store and let them test it.

Thanks so much for your replies, shall do.

how much is the price for this piece is a good way to start out. Pink diamonds don't come cheap. When they do, they are either treated, fake, or the "industrial" quality stuff you see usually on ebay.

Testing for what is a diamond is usually free. Valuation opinions usually come with a fee, as does identifying what it is if it turns out NOT to be a diamond.
.
Free diamond testing will not include either grading or origin of color questions (assuming that center stone is a diamond)
