Costs of importing to Oz

Does anyone have any experience with importing diamonds and/or settings to Australia after buying online? What are the costs involved and is it really worth it? I suppose what I''m really asking is can I get the same quality at the same price here in Oz.

You pay 10% gst on everything, and $50 or so for customs handling fee.
