Costco ring -- able to size up 2 sizes? And general opinion

Hello -- I'm interested in this ring: http://www.costco.com/Emerald-Cut-%2526-Round-Brilliant-Diamond-Ring-(1.60-ctw)-Platinum.product.100033694.html

It says that it can be sized up one size, but I need it to be sized to a 9. Is that possible, or should I look for a different setting? And general opinions about the value of this ring. My GF and I have looked at tons of rings and she keeps coming back to this one -- I think she would love it. Thanks!

No, you absolutely should not size that ring at all, as far as I am concerned. You should always order a ring in the correct size. That is a beautiful setting and I am sure many ring makers make a similar one. I don't have time to do a search right now, but that ring can probably be ordered elsewhere and you would first pick a diamond to go in it so it can be made to fit the stone and her finger.

Thanks for your response. When you say that I could buy a similar setting -- would it come with all of the diamond except for the center one, or would I need to buy all of the smaller ones individually as well? Apologies for not really knowing anything about this process.

Well, it was easier than I thought to find one! This will leave you $3000 for the center stone. The side diamonds are included in the setting.

Oh, platinum is $2350 which is a great price compared to the 14k gold price. I really love that ring, too!
