Home Corrected: How long was your honeymoon?

We planned our honeymoon before we were even engaged. About two months before getting engaged we were invited to my cousin''s DW in Rarotonga, Cook Islands (she lives in NZ). We bought our plane tickets and then in March of this year we decided to move our wedding from Spring 2010 to Summer 2009 and got married in June. Lucky for us we already had a wonderful 2 week honeymoon type trip in place! Before we got on the plane for Raro we went on a day of wine tasting in the Santa Barbara area. LOVED IT! Perfect start to a honeymoon for a couple of winos like us.

WannaBeMrsH- We were in the Cooks in their winter but it was still around 70 each day. I can imagine Tahiti and Bora Bora will be similar weather since they are around the same latitude in Polynesia.

OK,I never really had a honeymoon, we got married on Saturday, spent Saturday night and Sunday night in a really nice hotel and then went back to work on Tuesday.

Whoops, ours was 14 days, but I apparently can''t count... 1 night traveling, 1 night in Capetown, 4 nights in Stellenbosch, 1 night in Knysna, 1 night in Port Elizabeth, 4 nights in a game reserve and another 1 night traveling.

We were off for 2 weeks.

We used 2 days for rehearsal/wedding, 1 day to wrap up loose ends before leaving for honeymoon, 9 days on honeymoon, and 4 days at home to relax before going back to work. It was heavenly!

I was out of work for a week and a half, the half week was to prep for the wedding and then the next week we were away. We left for the HM the morning after the wedding...ugh, 4am...
