Planning my own elopement/honeymoon trip right now and curious about yours!

Our was 6-7. We did really want to do a 2 week honeymoon to Europe, but we planned our wedding in so little time that we could really only arrange for one week.

It was perfect though. Any longer and I really start to miss the kitties.

8 days/7 nights. Was the perfect length for us. We were itching to come home.

11 days, 10 nights in St. John.

For me that''s the perfect amount of time to *really* get away. Anything more and I get restless, anything less and I don''t really feel like I''m truly gone long enough.

Friday - Sunday in San Juan

Sunday - Sunday on a cruise ship of the Southern Caribbean

10 days was perfect!

(We also took that Monday afterwards off as well, to readjust, so technically it was 11 days...)

We were gone for 12 days/11 nights. In that time we went to 5 different places, so I really felt like we packed a lot in! It felt much longer than it was and by the end I was exhausted from all the activity. We like taking relaxing vacations with friends sometimes, but when it's just the two of us in new places we try to pack in as much as possible.

We visited: San Francisco, Monterey, Sequoia National Park, Yosemite, and Napa/Sonoma.

ETA: We left on a Monday and returned on a Friday, so we had the weekends before and after to pack/recover.

We were gone for 15 days. We went to Italy and visited Rome, Venice, Milan, and Bellagio (Lake Como). I could have stayed much, much longer, especially in Lake Como. It was a perfect honeymoon. Wish I could do it again!

15 days and 14 nights in Cabo. The best, most relaxing vacay EVER!!

We were gone for 16 days. Of those, we spent 2 days with our friends in L.A. during a stopover, so I don''t think it counts as the honeymoon! I was ready to head back on Day 13 (of 14).

Our honeymoon was 10 days in Greece. Had a wonderful time, but I wish I spent more time in Athens.

10 days and it was glorious. We also had a 2nd honeymoon in Disney World for 5 days that was slightly unexpected but definitely AWESOME!

Our honeymoon was two weeks in Greece and Italy....I wish I could have spent more time in Athens as well...We only had 2 days there.

We take honeymoons every year, hehe.

Our "official" honeymoon was 10 days in Hawaii and I would have preferred 2 weeks. We had a break between the wedding and honeymoon because of crazy schedules, so I was really eager for a break by the time the honeymoon rolled around. Ten days was great, but more would have been even better.

The international date line confuses me

From the moment we left to the moment we got back, it had been 20 days. But we left on Sunday and arrived on Tuesday. Anyway, 3 days/3 nights in Fiji, followed by 14 days/13 nights in New Zealand. It was phenomenal, we saw a huge amount of the country (drove from south to north, stopping along the way).

I think about it all the time. It was a completely magical trip in every way. We were barely starting to tire out by the end, so it was perfect timing to get us home before we started zoning out... we left wanting more, but still feeling completely satisfied.

We''re hurting for vacation days now, though. Hubs is still in the negative (I''m basically freelance, so vacation time does not apply).

Um, 2 days. We eloped and were gone four days, then back to work.

We''re hoping our "2nd honeymoon" is somewhere warm and on a beach (and happens before we retire, lol!).

ours was 7 days, but DEFINITELY TOO SHORT!

we went to the Maldives and I could have easily enjoyed another week of snorkeling.

over all, we took 2.5 weeks off work as we had a destination wedding in South Africa. that and that the Maldives is quite expensive is why we had a 7 day honeymoon.

we''re going for a 2nd honeymoon (actually it''s just a vacation) in March: 2 weeks in Ko Phi Phi, Thailand.

I counted both our mini-moon and HM together...though neither have happened yet!

We''re spending 2 nights, 3 days in Victoria right after the wedding, then in January we''re doing a 7 night cruise of the eastern Caribbean. Can''t wait!

We did a 10 day luxury tour of Iceland in the summer, it was AMAZING. We also took two days off after we came back too, just to relax and visit family before we had to start work again.

5 nights in the Florida Keys. It''s all we had time for since we had to fit our wedding, his graduation, and our honeymoon all into 2 weeks. But then we ended up having a second 2-week vacation period together about 3 months later, so we went to Vegas for 8 days.

We were gone for 22 days in total and went to London, Singapore and Australia. We''d love to do it again!

I like your style...the Maldives and Dubai would be my second honeymoon.

Haha! I counted our mini-moon too although only one has happened!

We went to New York City just the two of us for the weekend (3 days, 2 nights) the week after our wedding. I didn''t count a business trip to Germany (we went to Munich for Ocktoberfest and Vienna for a few days)...

But we finally picked a honeymoon and booked it. We are going to French Polynesia and Australia for 14 days next summer...we are going to fly from LAX to Tahiti and stay two nights and then go to Sydney for 4 nights, then to Melbourne for another 3 nights and fly to Bora Bora for 4 nights before returning home (and we lose a day on the way back because we cross the IDL as well).

Everyone on here has had some amazing trips and I am glad that we waited to take our honeymoon because now I am totally looking forward to it!

Oh no! Bobbin, we tried to think of everything and it NEVER crossed my mind that it will be winter there! Will Tahiti and Bora Bora be cold, too! We JUST paid for the trip last week! Argh!

We went for almost 2 weeks, but we had 5 family members with us for the first week.

We did 12 days in Greece. I loved it. I could have gone to a few more islands. I however felt we spent the perfect amount of time in Athens. We did so much but it was so worth it.

I think it will be warm in Tahiti and Bora-bora as they are more tropical. See this link

In Melbourne it will be colder than Sydney, approximately 50-60 degrees (10-14 degrees celcius). Sydney will be slightly warmer. If you want warm weather in Aus, you could always go to Queensland/Northern Territory. They are warm most of the year.

We only had a 5 day destination wedding/honeymoon in Bermuda, but that''s because we decided to elope 2 months after getting back from a 12 day tour of Eastern Europe - we had just used up most of our vacation days, so we couldn''t take any more for our wedding/honeymoon.

My DH and I eloped in September of this year and are not taking our honeymoon until December 19th. We will be going to Australia and New Zealand for three and half weeks. SIMPLY.CAN''T.WAIT!!!
