I have a problem. Mr. Vesper bought me this bracelet and it matches my necklace. I might never take it off.

Ugh, beautiful on you! That color is devine! So luminous and shiny. So lucky, Vesper! Congratulations!

I took a picture of my mothers branch coral necklace...

IMG_4058.JPG

I love love love this necklace, how dramatically graduated the branch lengths are. While I find a lot of similar (less dramatic) necklaces, I never see them worn. Bluegemz, I would absolutely love seeing a neck shot of yours ...whenever you feel like it. <3

Oh, thank you Blugemz for your kind reply. I'm sure it does look amazing!
Do you guys have a feeling for what prices per gram nice genuine undyed red-coral-orange coral branches would/should cost? I'm finding prices between 5 and 9 Dollar per gram for the beads (not finished necklaces) and I have no clue if that's the usual market range....

I actually do not, but I can start looking around . Quality must play into this range though.

Wow, looks like I'm facing an entirely different issue. Seems that coral and (German) customs are not a good match. Will need to do more research.

Sigh...
I wish I could post pictures of a pair of earrings I almost bought a few years ago. They were in the estate section of Birks and were small coral strawberries with pale green jade leaves. Dangles. The hooks had a small pearls inlaid in them. They were estate. I made an offer that was turned down :( . The craftsmanship on the berries and leaves was amazing and the coral was a blend of white, pink and a hint of red. Just like berries.
Sigh...

I did not buy these clips but I really wanted them. (Note, the fur is used in a jacket that is made out of recycled wool sweaters and old fur coats.)

Also I made these today. It is coral and bone.

Bought this coral & turquoise necklace in Carson City, NV back in my 20s. I hardly ever wore it because of how it falls in layers and most of my shirts back then we're either scoop or v-neck. Finally have embraced some higher neck tops and now wear this much more often. :) IMG_20170907_150233500.jpg

They are VERY me but also $700 USD. Alas I had to spend about that much on a new pair of glasses today. I hate being responsible. :roll2:

I am not sure about this Tiffany coral and diamond ring. It reminds me of Princess Margaret's wedding ring.

Beautiful necklace Samranmal!
And Vespers, those studs look absolutely fantastic on you, perfect colour for you indeed. Love the ones you made too!

Thank you! I really love the studs. Now I am on the hunt for a perfect coral and yellow gold ring

oooh, curious to see what you'll pick out. What shade of coral are you after? That soft, slightly pastel colour looks great on you in any case!

I want something to match my necklace. I have been stalking a ring for 5 years. Originally it was in the running to be my wedding ring. I sent the link to Mr. Vesper so maybe it will turn up???

I can't tell if I love or hate this art deco coral, diamond and onyx ring. I am exited about it either way because it is different.

That style of simple button earrings means something to me, so I keep noticing them:

20 mm (1495)

11 mm (595)

No bet on natural colour ...

I would vote the 11mm and the sugarloaf! Drool.

I think it's Coral and black enamel, very pretty and more wearable than the sugarloaf.
The sugarloaf is a statement pieces, goes well on it's own without any other coral pieces to match, maybe just plain gold ones.

So I finally got my corals. I bought a vintage Corallium rubrum 28'' long one and picked out the longest branches to make a 21''-ish one for myself and a shorter one for my daughter (one day ... she's 2yo). Then I had the two most exquisite little branches made into earrings. Awkward selfies but I love everything!
