Hello, i am thinking to buy that loose mozambique piece. Can you guys help to identify if its copper bearing (paraiba)?
looks completely different in day light and indoor..
Copper bearing or not, it might not be a glowly all the time stone. I'd say depends on the price. If you want assurance on copper content, best to have a lab check it out. Some copper bearing are super glowly, some have weak glow.
I don't know why there's always people who try to get us to ID stones. Everything is guesswork unless you submit it to an independent lab. The only instances I can ever ID a gem is if the gem is precision cut and it's of a variety I'm familiar with and the pictures span a range of lighting situations and are in focus with magnification.
If it's not been precision cut but cabbed, it's pretty hopeless to ID from photos.
