Cool bread-making video

There are 14 videos on this youtunbe channel.
Some are really cool.

This one is hypnotic, the music, the processing of the ingredients, how the dough changes as the gluten is developed.

Bread making is such a mundane thing, but somehow the artist who produced these videos has made it into something special, mysterious even.

It reminds me of a quote from that famous artist.
"Maybe I am not very human - what I wanted to do was to paint sunlight on the side of a house." - Edward Hopper

I also find myself fascinated with the overlooked ordinary.
If nobody's watching I can spend an embarrassingly-long time watching dust float around in a shaft of sunlight.

I watched the bread video, now I want some fresh bakery made bread. Humph.

Thanks for posting that Kenny, I enjoyed your interesting and pertinent reference to Edward Hopper as well!

love Hopper....will now go look at bread video.

The bread making video was really interesting. Such a lot of hard work. All done by hand too. I make bread occasionally and once I was in a hurry and was trying to knead quickly. The muscles in the top of one of my arms went into a serious spasm. It was so painful! I don't think I'm good with manual work

If you like bread, this video is really interesting, its an artisan bread maker in San Francisco called Tartine. I looked up his recipe once and OMG it was soo good but sooooo complicated. It was like 2 pages long of how to handle the bread. Even Julia Child would tell him "simplify!"

Good video, I plan to hit his shop next time I am in the bay area. It is rated one of the best bread places in the city if not the best.
