Hi, I''ve been browsing and reading voraciously through this website and all I can say is thanks a lot for the amazing information here.

I took a look at a Hearts-of-fire in person today at the local jeweller, and the price was around $10k for about a 1ct round, H-s1 I think. (I wrote it down but i don''t have my notes here).

Then i found the following 3 diamonds:
($5560) http://www.jamesallen.com/diamonds/H-SI1-Ideal-Cut-Round-Diamond-1218726.asp?b=16&a=12&c=77&cid=131
($5466) http://www.whiteflash.com/hearts_arrows/Whiteflash-ACA-cut-diamond-1982315.htm
($6351) http://www.whiteflash.com/round_ideal_cut/Round-Ideal-Cut-cut-diamond-1204628.htm

The second one is ACA but is cheaper than the third one, which has roughly the same specs. Can someone explain to me why the difference?

How do these compare to the jamesallen one?

thanks
Michael

1.09ct H SI1. It's higher color.

1.027ct I SI1. Tiny bit smaller.

The ACA is a better choice in my opinion. And if you like it put it on hold while you continue to look.

JA 1.05 H SI1 Can't see the photo clearly enough to see where the inclusion is but it looks like it's near the middle.

In any case the vendors can tell you more about the inclusion since they have these in-house. The cuts all look good to me.

They all look good, I would check which of the SI clarities are eyeclean by asking the vendor initially.
