Hi everyone,

I currently have a 1.57 diamond from Whiteflash and would love to do my final upgrade into 2ct range (which is what I originally wanted but couldn''t afford).

My current ring is a full eternity shared-prong from Whiteflash. I adore this ring, the look of diamonds all around, but the fact that I cannot re-size it, is dawning on me. I plan to have kids sometime, and want to make sure my rings are still wearable at that point, even if I have to resize them etc.
Because of this I was thinking of converting my current e-ring into a wedding band (a matter of un-suturing the head and adding another diamond) and finding a simple solitaire to re-set my stone into.
I figure that way I am stuck with just one ring I cannot wear during pregnancy, instead of two. :)

I had done numerous searches here, but still am a little uncertain which solitaire to go with. There are soooo many!
I was hoping for some help :). I like 6 prongs over 4, but definitely would consider 4.

I looked at Locke''s (I guess it is no longer in production), Vatche Royal Crown, Tiffany''s replicas.

Some of my thoughts:

1) I want this Solitaire to make my new 2ct stone POP, I want all of the spotlight to be on the diamond
2) To sit flush, or close to it with my wedding band to be (full eternity shared-prong)

ANY help will be greatly appreciated! TIA!!

Hi Angel,

Just a thought, before you go changing everything. First, you may not have any problems with swelling should you have kids, or if you do, it may on be for a few months. Either way, I would not recommend constant sizing of any ring, it's not good for it, whether it can be easily done (plain band) or not. If you size it up while pregnant, it may very well be too big afterwards. Then you'd need to go back down in size.

I would just get whatever you want, and not worry about pregnancy so much.

btw Pretty ring!!

i agree. my ring size actually did not change sizes at all during or after any of my 3 pregnancies. I know a lot of gals do swell in the later months but then after having the baby the ring size goes back. Since you already have the ring, enjoy it and worry about the sizing once you have kids and if you size does change, unless of course you''re just really wanting a new solitaire type setting, in that case, I love the vatche royal crown

Thank you for your responses Ellen and mrssalvo!
Well I am not trying to change everything. :) I am going to convert my engagement ring into a wedding band. I currently do not have a wedding band at all.
A solitaire with an eternity band looks very very pretty and I think you can easily tell which one is e-ring and which one is wedding ring.

As an added bonus, I will have at least one sizable ring too!
