Concerned about high HCA value. Should I be worried?

Looking at a Canadian (not many to choose from, unfortunately) stone for an engagement ring that has the following specifications, but comes with an HCA score of 4.5, which appears to be an avoid. I am not sure if there is something wrong with it, as I do not fully understand what affects HCA and how reliable it is. Unfortunately, I do not have a photo of it.

Type: Round
Weight: 0.59 carat
Cut: Excellent (GIA)
Color Grade: H
Clarity Grade: VVS2
Depth %: 62.5%
Table %: 57.0%
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Girdle: Medium to Slightly Thick
Culet: None
Fluorescence: None
Measurements: 5.34 x 5.38 x 3.36 mm
Crown Angle: 35.5°
Pavilion Angle: 41.2°

Thank you.

Yep, avoid. HCA tells you which stones are worth further investigation after eliminating those with non-complementary angles. You can do much better.

+1 emmebee.

Make sure your pavilion angle is between 40.6-41.0, and keep your crown angle between 34.0-35.0 (you can sometimes stretch it so 33.5-35.5 if you have the right pavilion angle--e.g. high pavilion + low crown; high crown+low pav).

Get those two right, and usually everything else is right. They're the first two numbers you should look at.

Another in agreement to pass on this diamond. It's a good tool to start with to weed out the bad ones but the final selection requires that you view the stone in person and/or get an Idealscope to verify.
