On paper (and this is just paper of course), I see that on Brilliance has this stone:

And JA has this stone:

Two questions. The first being that you have about a $1000 difference between two stones which on paper are not only identical, but the depth on the cheaper Brilliance stone is 'better' than the JA. Brilliance consistently has cheaper stones for what appears to be a fantastic price compared to other online markets, however I'm not seeing a lot of reviews or purchases through them by most.

The second is that on Brilliance I see cuts such as Ideal or Super Ideal, etc...and on JA I see Ideal, Very Good, and Good in the search however when the diamond above is viewed in the details of JA it says "Excellent" for the Cut. Where am I missing out on the various terminologies? I've always seen cuts described as one of the following: Ideal, Premium,Very Good, Good or Fair & Poor

I would go for stone number 1, because diamond has great color/clarity and it is Super Ideal or Excellent cut,

Every company market the diamonds with different prices, some of the companies get very aggressive in the pricing as obviously they need more client base, for instance same diamond which you see on brilliance is also with b2c jewels for little better price,

To answer your second question on Cut Terminology, GIA does not recognize Cut on Fancy shape diamonds, that is the reason
why in my opinion most of the online companies show cut as Ideal/Excellent/super ideal cut, depends upon the merit or light performance
of the stone, this way it becomes simple for customers to choose the right stone.

In my opinion stone 1 would be a good choice, check if the company can provide you the images, it will help you make correct
decision.

Good Luck :)

Thanks for the feedback...it simply seems odd that we've got such a large difference in price for in essence a better stone. I say better with the clarity and depth being more ideal to a cushion stone. Something in the price just seems odd, no? At least when I'm seeing other stones that are similar for $1000 to $1500 more.

$1000 is not a big difference in price, especially when you have no idea what the difference in appearance is.
