Hi all,
I've got two diamonds I'm looking at -- one from James Allen, which I just received the ASET for and a positive review from their gemologist. The other is from a Jeweler that was recommended here on PS, but not as oft-discussed at GOG or JA. The JA diamond I am looking at is about $1200 cheaper than the other Jeweler I was recommended. I should mention that the other jeweler, however, is making the setting.
First up is the JA
1 ct. / I / VVSI / Cushion Brilliant

I think it's a bit different looking, but pretty. I'm somewhat concerned about the I color. Their gemologist said it has good light performance and is bright. I also got ASET's of two other diamonds, and this was the cheapest and still the one they recommended.
The ASET

Now the diamond from the other Jeweler
It is a D / 1.12 / SI2 / Cushion Modified
They know I originally wanted an AVC, but eventually felt it was out of my price range. So, they're looking for a cushion with a visible facet pattern under the table (as chunky as possible). We probably looked at a total of 8 diamonds together in person, so I feel like they understand what I want. But, I am living in a different city now, and all I have are pictures/videos.
The inclusion is a "colorless cloud" which "cannot be seen with the naked eye". I wrote back asking where on the diamond it is located, but I have a suspicion it is under the table. No ASET image of this one. I don't know what lighting the picture was taken under, but i'm assuming it's the backroom/regular overhead lighting because you can see a phone in the background (I've asked them, and requested a picture in daylight as well - will update when received).

This is the video they sent -- I'm not sure why Vimeo made it sideways, and it isn't quite as clear as before I uploaded it. Oh well, maybe it will help.

I know it's sort of hard to compare these two, but i'm interested to hear what people think of the first one with the ASET regardless.
Thank you for all your help!
