I like the BG stone. The 1st WF isn't square to my eye (that may not bother you). I don't like the pics on #2 - something off with the cut there. Of the WF stones I like #3 the best. But I like the BG even more.

Who has the setting you want?

Thanks for the response. The BG looks the best to me, and to my untrained eye, it isn't that close either. Would you agree?

My wife likes a setting on WF, but I'm checking BG right now to see what is similar.

I like #3 on WF. Its also much cheaper than the BG.

It is definitely cheaper. Do you think it looks better than the BG, or simply better for the price?

I actually like it better. Its perfectly square (if thats an issue, it was mentioned above), its just a bit smaller. And if WF has the setting your wife likes, thats what I'd do. Save that extra $1k for bands/eternity/earrings or something unrelated.

eta - actually if you look at the measurements, the WF stone doesnt face up MUCH smaller if at all.

5.46 x 5.41 x 4.15 BG
5.44x5.44x4.08 WF

Great, thanks for your input. Anyway way to make an educated guess which stone will have more scintillation / sparkle / fire? The WF stone seems to have more contrast, but the BG stone's contrast seems to be more symmetrical.

As far as sparkle goes, the BG will have the smallest/most frequent sparkles. The other 3 will have larger flashes (still quite small, as are most princess cuts).

This video shows 2 vs 3 chevrons just to give you an idea of the difference.

The BG is really nice, but it's not $1.5K nicer than WF #3. I'd go for that one!!

Also beautiful. H will still look very white. Keep in mind its pretty deep, and not as square.

I'd honestly rather have the size (so #3) rather than VVS2 clarity so eliminate #1 (overkill IMHO). The patterning is different between 2 and 3 - 2 reaches to the very corners, while 3 has those geometric shapes. Which do you prefer the look of?

Honestly... IDK! LOL. I do like the .9 carat E diamond, not simply because of specs but just the look of it. It has a L to W ratio of 1.015 to 1, which I believe shouldn't be noticeable right? I like the red going into the corners too. Also, it faces up at basically the same size as the F does, despite being slightly smaller. However, the G is bigger and the F looks good too. Honestly, I am flummoxed at this point.

If it helps, here are all three side by side:

If it was me I'd want mine as square as possible. I mean, what is the point of buying a square cut that isn't square?

The middle its square and over the magic number :appl: :appl:

Thank you everyone for your help. Both the E and the F have a L to W ratio in the 1.015 to 1 range. Can the human eye see this? Does it need to be exact 1:1 to look square?

The more I look (and the three right next to each other helped) I like the G the best. Looks like sharper facets, with crisp edges even on the table. That, in addition to the size, make it the clear winner for me. But this is for you :)

Thanks! I do like the G as well. Let me ask this: Without considering price, is there a wrong choice to be made here? All three look fairly beautiful. Do you guys see any flaws (of any kind)?
