Hi everyone!

I'm new to the forum. I'm looking for a diamond for an engagement ring. I'd really appreciate any advice. :saint:

My current two options are here:

Option A

Option B

Option B is slightly more expensive. On Option A, the depth percentage seems a bit shallow (60.4%); still within the range 60-62% that I would consider, but is it something to be concerned about?

Thanks!

The vendor is going to try and get an idealscope image for Option A.

The vendor sent a photo for Option A:

Hi there. I'm new to the forums as well... Just my 2c worth...

Looking at both stones, option B will definitely be more expensive due to the clarity rating. Using HCA as a sorting tool, both look good, though option A appears to sit in the middle of both AGS and GIA ranges for ideal/excellent cuts for the table percentage and that alone would make me look at that stone as the first option (which is what you have done).

Definitely would wait until the the idealscope image comes through first (an ASET image would be good as well). The photo the vendor sent through however does seem to look decent enough with some fairly clear and symmetrical arrows showing up in diffused light. And those crystals under the table don't appear to be visible with the stone face up, which can only be a good thing.

Re: Comparing 3 diamonds for e ring

Thanks a lot for the reply! I've also reached out to Blue Nile for images/ASET etc. but haven't received any yet.
