Here is Jube that I really like (though I wish it were a little bigger and VS2-what can you do..) And a round.
Since I don't know how else to compare the two, unless i have them both shipped....might be too $$.
Would like your opinions! Which would "look" bigger, which would you choose?

These two diamonds both have an area of about 36 square cm, but I think the round will look bigger. However, both are nice sparkly stones. I would recommend if you go with the Jubilee that you make sure the sparkle is distributed throughout the stone. Actually I would make sure the same on the round. Personally I would pick round for best light dispersion.

Well hands down the round will look bigger...the diameter differences are huge. 6.02mm vs 6.87? That's almost a full mm difference which is huge in the world of diamonds. Even if you account for the squarish sides of the Jube...that's still a big difference to account for. I think the eye would make the round look much bigger. But who knows, sight comparison is always the best. Can you have the Jube dealer put a similar sized round next to it and take a picture? That would be a huge help.

Unfortunately in terms of 'bang for buck', the Jubes never get my vote. However they are stunning stones and I don't know that I would compare a round to a Jube in this form of straight manner. It's not quite that easy.

Does one shape appeal to you more? That's a huge thing right there.

Both stones look really lovely. But in the end, the choice can only be made by you. It's not as though these are 2 round stones and you are asking which one is better. These are hugely different stones and beautiful both in their own ways.

I don't know if I was any help! But I'd go for the round. I'm a round lover. I love Jubilees and would love a pendant but it's definitely not a bang for your buck stone!

Good luck.

Have them both shipped to you and pay the $20 to ship the one you don''t like back. I like both. I bought a 6.3mm Jube and a 7.25mm round recently. The round looks a lot bigger. Howver both are beautiful. You really need to see both in person to compare. As a compromise, just get the Jubilee shipped to you and compare it rounds you see in stores.

Good luck

Will stores let me bring in a stone & compare it to one of their''s?? What is the proper etiquette when you want to compare your loose stone to a B& M''s. should I just go to one where I don''t care to build a relationship with????

The image below shows these sizes as much as my image editing skills go...

(it was made by adjusting the sizes of two separate pictures so that the relative size matches the numbers you posted)

WOw. thanks Ana.

The round looks alot bigger. I was told that the Jube''s spread is comparable to a 1.2/1.3 princess......but no chance against this BR.

I just may have to give up on this Jube....

Just saw Mara''s ring for the first time.....wow.

I may be converted to the round side...

Hopefully showing that it doesn''t actually take that much to make a round look bigger than a square!
Of course, if you were already set on either shape, this argument would never take place ;)
