Hi all,
I am considering an ACA stone from Whiteflash. This stone fits into my budget, with cut and size taking priority over color and clarity. What questions should I be asking about the inclusions? Any advice? Here are the stone''s specs, and I''m trying to attach the AGS report.

Report: AGS
Shape: A Cut Above H&A
Carat: 1.180
Color: I
Clarity: SI2
Depth: 60.6
Table: 54
Crown Angle: 34.7
Crown %: 15.7
Pavilion Angle: 40.7
Pavilion %: 42.8
Girdle: Thin
Polish: Ideal
Symmetry: Ideal
Culet: Pointed
Fluorescence: Negligible
Measurements: 6.89-7.05X4.19

Thanks for any insight.

Gorgeous looking stone!

I bought an SI2 from Whiteflash, too, and would do so again in a heartbeat.

About the inclusions:

Is it eye-clean?
What kind of inclusions are they (feathers, crystals, pinpoints, etc.)?
Are they colorless/white/dark?
Do they break the surface of the diamond?
Where the inclusions are located (table, off table, etc)?
Can the most signicant inclusion be covered by a prong?

aljdewey,
Thanks for your suggestions - just the kind of info I was looking for. It''s hard considering SI stones over the internet.

Hve you seen any pictures of the actual stone? Do you have the ideal scoep shots? I have foudn the latter to be helpful in finding the inclusions. It sounds like a pretty stone based on numbers but to know for sure it needs to be seen not just drawn...ARe you goign to have it shipped to you, or are you trying to decide that now? I would ask for some magnified pictues before going any further. Good Luck.

Matatora,
Thanks for chiming in. I do have a magnified pic (supposed to be 40x, if I remember correctly) and the idealscope pic. My untrained eyes don''t know what to look for in a picture.

Exactly.....and that''s why it''s best to ASK the trained eye that has the stone (in this case, Brian) for the information I listed. He can look at the stone while on the phone with you and tell you what he sees.
