any idea?

It looks very good. There is evidence of some slight leakage under the table, meaning that it is possible that the central area of the stoen will not be as lively as it *could* be. But in person, I suspect that you would not notice such a thing, given all the real life variables than influence perception of a diamond's light play.

ETA: It is possible the stone is tilted in the IS, since the white areas under the table are more pronounced on one side than the other. If the IS *really* matters to you, then before you reject this stone out of hand perhaps ask for a retake. I would also like to see a real life photo and the lab report for the stone, since that information is as important as an IS in my opinion.

I can't believe I'm going to say this, but... I think Dreamer's nitpicking wayyy too much, and that it looks lovely!

Well, this is a role reversal. Cheers to breaking ground :cheeky:

I agree with Dreamer, it may just be tilted in the IS. However, even if that is a bit of leakage (see it at 4 o'clock particularly?), you probably won't notice it in person. It'll still be a lively and pretty stone. Can you share what the crown and pav angles are, Olen?

Depth: 61.7%
Table: 56.0%
Crown Angle: 35.0
Crown %: 15.50
Pavilion Angle: 40.8
Pavilion %: 43.00

I am still thinking of it....

Good numbers!

haha! I was covering my butt. Usually I look at an IS like that and I say "Looking good!" then you or someone else comes in and says "oooh there is some leakage blah blah :tongue: ". But I hoped my main point was it is a good looking IS. If the stone also has a GIA Ex or AGS0 cut grade, then I would personally not be concerned and would go for it if it met my price and color/clarity needs!

::snort:: :bigsmile:

Olen I think we're all in agreement that it looks fine ;))

How about compare to this?

Neither is objectively "better" than the other - they'll differ in the nuances but we can't say Get This Not That from those ISs.

I personally prefer #1 - I want as much contrast at the girdle as I can get.
