With a budget 3000-3500, we are looking for a round, excellent cut, eye clean, color j and above, size 0.8 and Above,

I wanted to find a diamond at James allen so I can go with their setting however no luck so far. Any suggestions?

just got a flash from JA 25% today on all preset stones...i'd call them

I wouldn't think she'd want a pre-set stone? I doubt those are going to be the best cut?

I will have to say that I would not risk getting that setting. It is too thin for a pave shank and you might have the shank go out of round, loose stones, etc. I would not go less than 1.8-2.0mm for the shank.

The two WF diamond links are the same, but the diamond looks really nice! You'll pay more for one of their pave shank settings, but honestly, I would go for a better quality ring. They have several solitaires with a pave shank.

The total is $500 over budget at $4,065 (diamond at $3360 and setting at apx $705 (with current 15% discount)), but it would be a bit less if you can pay via bank wire.

Thanks for the suggestions. Yea, I'm not really interested in preset. I will look at the recommended setting and diamonds.
