There are so many cute colors for those kitchaide blenders and stand mixers. My favorite is the glossy cinnamon... but for those who own colored ones... will I regret getting such a strong color? Should we just go with the silver/ chrome... boring?

All of my appliances are Empire Red, and I''ve been totally happy with them. But I like color!

I''m a wild one. In my white Florida kitchen I have-----white

In my stainless Michigan kitchen I have---wait for it------stainless ! Yeah I think since those mixers last forever you''d regret locking yourself into a bold color. But I''m conservative.

I think the colored ones are fun but feel like my style/favorite colors change too often. If you are someone who knows you will love a certain color forever go for it! I have the dark gray (matte) one which is a good neutral.

Ditto Tacori. I was on the fence between red and black. Red is my accent color in my kitchen now. I got the black (with stainless bowl) and it looks great with my stainless appliances. I hope this mixer lasts forever so I''m glad I went neutral.

For the record my mom still has her KA which was a wedding gift (I think). They have been married over 35 years. My sister has my grandmother''s. Both are (obviously) white and in great condition.

My DH (then-BF) surprised me with mine, so I didn''t really get a say in the color -- but he got me Chrome, which is what I would have chosen anyway. I really love the Cornflower Blue one, but we don''t own a home yet and had/have no idea what future kitchens may look like...but if I ever make one loaf of bread too many and kill mine (

), I''d definitely get a blue Pro model.

I have the red because I absolutely love red, but sometimes think the one Tacori mentioned (dark gray matte) would have worked better. The house we are moving into has red on the walls that I love and I know my red mixer will be a slightly different shade.

Kind of..I have the pink mixer, blender, and toaster. I don''t keep the blender out, only the mixer and toaster and the mixer is under a cover. While I LOVE all of it, it does make it a bit difficult to decorate.

All of my appliances are stainless steel/chrome (toaster, oven, rangehood, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, breadmaker, the lot!!) and I got the KitchenAid in red. I love the pop of colour it gives my kitchen!!

I also have the complete Empire Red collection of appliances and kitchen utensils/tools, and at first I was wondering the same thing, but I still love them 3 years later! They add so much character to my kitchen. I am not usually a fan of bright colours, but they definitely stand out on their own and I love them.

ETA: I only have my mixer, blender and coffee maker out on display so it isn't an over powering collection of red kitchen aid. lol However, when I am cooking and have the red pots on the stove and the matching red spatulas/spoons/potato masher and peeler etc. I do have to say it makes me excited every time to see the colour out and all matching! haha

I have a neutral kitchen. I''ve had the red KA stand mixer about ten or fifteen years, and I still have not tired of it. I also have a red Nespresso machine and a red Dualit toaster. Obviously the shades are not all the same, but I find the look pleasing.

My mom still has hers from over 35 years ago too - I love colour, but would probably go conservative with a neutral

You could always get a different colored/patterned cloth cover to go over it if you plan on leaving it on the counter. I have an iridescent white("meringue") because I got it for half off. If the mixer happened to be blue or green or something then I probably would have still gotten it because of the great price. So really I''d say go with a great color that you love now!

I love the colored ones! my mom got me mine for Christmas and it''s the dark matte grey one. I have a bright red mini chopper that I love too though:-) and a shiny chrome blender. Somehow they all work together:-)

our kitchen is all neutrals and i accent with green usually. so i got a green KA mixer from WS..not lemongrass and not apple, but they had some other green in 2008 that i went with. and i love it!! it looks great in the kitchen and it''s not too crazy. since i have accented with green for about 7 years now i figure i won''t really change it esp since i love green.

i used to have a white one and i didn''t like to leave it out because nothing in our kitchen was white. it looked too clinical in the kitchen for me. if i was going for a ''neutral'' i''d get the gray matte or something that wouldn''t draw attn to itself. or just put it in a cupboard.

I rearrange the furniture in my house every 6 months.. I would repaint the walls every 6 months too if I could because I just change my ideas of what I want in a space that often... However, I bought the purple one (old style, don''t remember the exact name) a few years ago and it is absolutely, without a doubt, my favorite thing in my entire house. My kitchen is green and yellow..no purple except the mixer and I think it looks great. I leave it out on the counter all the time and just love it.. I say go for the cinnamon red if you want it. Worst care scenario, you can store it in a cabinet... Best case scenario, you have a super cute mixer! My mom has the cinnamon red in her brown kitchen and it doesn''t stand out at all...

Cobalt. Our old kitchen was silver/stainless, black and natural wood, with cobalt accents. Now our kitchen is a neutral light pink, white cabinets/appliances, pink/gray/black granite, I think it looks pretty awesome. Between that and my fave lime green vase, it looks AWESOME!

I have the black with stainless bowl (still love it after 5 years). It goes with our black appliances in this house and will also look great with stainless appliances in a future house. I prefer neutral appliances. My "pop" of color in our kitchen is the green (with black and cream) granite counters.

Ours is matte black and I like it because it is very neutral, but all of our cookware/bakeware/accent pieces are blue so sometimes I wish we had gotten a blue one. I still like it a lot, though.

We got the red as it was on supersale at Amazon. Doesn''t look to shabby in our rental kitchen with probably the original decoration from the 50s or so with cream cabinets and white and blue tile. Probably to be most practical I would have gotten the dark grey/metallic color BUT it was more $$ and the red is nice. I''m not too worried about it! Long way of saying, get whatever color you want!

I''ve had my cobalt blue one for 11 years and I still love it :)

Mine is a standard cream colour and I love that it will go with anything. We just today have decided the room paint colour for our brand new kitchen and I am delighted that our main appliances (KS included) are neutral. So I would encourage you to go neutral.

But if I wanted any other shade I would be delighted with the charcole - it will be modern and go with any decor. So you get style and plain at the same time. IMHO.

I got the stainless/chrome and couldn''t be happier. We will be moving in the next year or so, and that''s why I opted for a neutral tone. To add a splash of color, I got a cover for it.

I hide all my appliances but most of them are green. I love working with a little color!

Love the cinnamon one, it has a beautiful subtle hue

mine is meringue looks like a pearl in the eves.

I bought the cobalt one eight years ago after having a white one and wanting something with a little more pizzazz. Wish I had gone more neutral--black, white, stainless or charcoal gray....

Mine is apple green, and I adore it. Right now, I''m very much into blue and green together, so the kitchen is painted blue. The mixer looks fantastic against the blue walls.

For a long time, I wanted a pink kitchen, and I think if I ever go for that, the mixer will still look cute.

Ooh I love the apple green one! It''s so cute!
