I know there is one for diamonds, but I figured we should have our own!

Please share your pictures of your stones showing off!

Last one!

LOVE that last one especially!

I'll have to pull out my stuff and see which stones might produce something like that!

LOVE the last one Freke! I've never really tried to get fire from my CS but I see that I caught a little coming from my pear aqua before it was set.

Not sure if these count as fire, but they're the best I could do...

Calling TL - I seem to recall a shot of your chrysoberyl that was just one big flash of fire (it's what got me on the hunt for a chryso) - perhaps you could post? :naughty:

A fairly new picture of my Mozambique cuprian.

Greg: completely off subject here, but I love your photograph. The depth of it, the richness of the colors with all that deep green background and the composition. I would hang that on my wall as art. :praise: Sphene?

Very kind of you to say so, thank you. Yes, Pakistani Sphene.

Thank you!! :)

4.74ct "cobalt" blue spinel ring. Unlike many stones that wash out in bright lighting, this one needs the sun or bright light, but when it hits, she's a deep blue beauty! Jerry Newman completely recut this stone for me. We've been through a lot together... lol... so I was glad to finally get her on my finger. You can see the faceting better IRL than these photos, but at least I got a bit of fire.

Little 2.16ct "Most likely Spessartite/Almandite" per Jerry Newman who completely recut this stone for me. It's the color of lava flow or an ember. The actual color of the stone is more reddish like the first photo which was taken in the sun. The second two are office incandescent lighting which added some yellow.

3.71ct Neonish "fanta" spessartite. Sold as being from Namibia, but I have no proof of that. Pavilion was recut and girdle was polished at an angle by Jerry Newman to remove damage caused when it was initially set. It just lives in a gembox right now.
