Is a color J ok for a diamond? If so, what would be the best setting for it? White gold vs. yellow gold?

Thanks

I'd set it in platinum, for the reasons I just gave D.D. in the topic "White Gold Setting In Platinum Ring?".

A "J" (near colorless) stone, however, will look good in both yellow or white prongs.

I think it would depend on the size & cut of the stone. ...or if the stone may have some bl. flour. ...and your personal preference & pocketbook.

What size were you looking at? Make sure the cut is good.

I have my larger "I" stone set in platinum and I see no yellow - even next to the G baguettes.

Good luck.
