What color would everyone recommend to maximize value.....but so it would also be dificult to view any yellow in the face up position????

Hi there! If you are buying a round, you can go pretty low in a well cut diamond and not see any color. Probably an H or an I would be very safe. At J and K you might see a tiny tiny bit of warmth looking at the side of the ring, but it should face-up white. These stones are a very good value for the money and most will never be able to tell it has a lower color. Those with J stones can chime in here. Just make sure the diamond is well-cut!! Also, a little blue florescence will help make the diamond look whiter.

Now, if you are picking a fancy cut diamond...you can''t go as low in color without seeing any warmth. I would say with a radiant or pear, an H is as low as I would want to go.

color is very personal. Some people are very color sensitive, some are not, some actually prefer warmer diamonds. I suggest going somewhere that sells ideal cut stones like Hearts on Fire and have them show you various stones in various color grades to determine what your eyes see. If you don''t detect a lot or prefer lower colors that can be a huge way to maximize size. Just remember that cut is #1 so please don''t sacrifice on that

You won't see any 'yellow' in the face up position in most stones up to J, unless it is directly next to a stone of higher color. Then the tint becomes somewhat obvious. It depends how color sensitive you are however. My sweet spot is a G. Can't go wrong. You can go lower, to H, I, or J, but if you're color sensitive, that can be dangerous territory.

if you absolutely refuse to see any color from any angle, I would say G is the lowest. If you don''t mind a tiny of bit tint from the side view and still have it look white face up, I''d say J is the lowest. Keep in mind for the same price, a G will be a smaller than an I or J.

Color is truely in the eye. I noticed enough of a difference between an H and an F to go with the F. I could mix them up and pick out the F from a top down look. Maybe it was the cut, but both were WF ACA. I would recommend seeing a few different colors alone and with each other.
